Tie Dye and the VRI Hall
Last Tuesday afternoon we didn't get to go over to the VRI hall, and instead we meditated and talked about work and school and reputations, we watched a TED talk on a man who had a very bad past but he changed it and did everything he could to turn his life around and it showed that you can always make up for your past and change yourself. Then on Wednesday the internet was not working so we got to go home early, but before I went home I wrote up a resume and it was really good. On Thursday Courtney, Abbey and I learnt how to paint properly and then we painted the stage at the VRI hall, we also fixed one of the chairs with Dave. On Monday we started on a project called 'Making a dollar', where we must come up with an idea of a product to make and then we can either donate, or sell it to raise money for our camp. It was really hard to think of something that would be in demand and would sell. Eventually Courtney and I decided we would buy some plain white products such as bags, shirts and socks, and we would tie dye them ourselves. People have already expressed interest in our products so we are hoping it will be within the budget and we will be able to go through with it.
