Over the weekend my boyfriend and I stayed at The Langham hotel in Melbourne for our one year anniversary together.
On Friday morning I caught a train to the city to meet my boyfriend, Josh, after school. We then walked to the hotel to check in. From first walking in the door it exceeded our expectations. There were several flights of stairs with golden rails, marble floors and giant wishing fountains up the middle of the staircase. The staff were friendly and welcoming and asked about the occasion, if we needed anything and gave us information on everything in the hotel and surrounding. We stayed in a Grand River Corner room with two walls with massive windows veiwing the city and river.
Within 5 mintues of being in the room there was a knock at the door and two ladies dressed in pink with a complimentary chocolate cake for us as a gift for our one year. After that we got dressed and went to the Crown Kitchen Workshop buffet for dinner. It was amazing and the best part was the seafood for sure. We got back to the hotel and went to the Chuan Spa and had a swim and checked out the sauna and other facilities. We went back to the room and fell asleep after watching The Wedding Singer.
When we woke we made our way down to the breakfast buffet and it was amazingggg. There were chocolate fountains, a custom omelette station, an asian buffet section and everything else you could imagine. We ate way too much and then we went back to the room and got ready for a 12pm checkout. As we checked out they talked to us about our night and were really really nice. We headed back to Bacchus Marsh and slept for a looong time after our long day.
On Sunday I went and watched Josh play soccer. He played goal keeper and they won 4-3 over Ballarat. I headed home on Monday and now here I am on Tuesday writing this blog.
